Description
In 1825, István Horvát published the above work entitled Drawings from the Oldest Stories of the Hungarian Nation, which is one of the interesting writings of Hungarian prehistory research. "The Holy Scriptures are bursting with all sorts of old Hungarian names and old Hungarian spellings. You are a relative who reads the Holy Scriptures day and night! How did you not notice them during the many centuries! ..." the author writes in his work. He knew Ferenc Kazinczy, Benedek Virág, Mihály Vitkovics and Pál Szemere, with whom he had linguistic and historical discussions. He was also associated with prominent scientists of the age. Today he is considered unscientific, but in his day he was an inspiring scientist who made the Hungarian consciousness proud.
